    Description

    Converting to hydraulic clutch actuation means tracking down a master cylinder, then hunting for the right fittings, pushrods, and hardware to make it work. This complete LF Series master cylinder kit bundles everything needed for the conversion, eliminating the parts-chasing headache and ensuring component compatibility from the start.

    The 0.750-inch bore paired with a full 1.4-inch stroke generates 0.620 cubic inches of displacement volume per stroke - enough fluid movement to properly actuate most internal and external slave cylinders on the market. Don't confuse this with the shorter-stroke Wilwood GS compact masters that limit displacement. If your application doesn't require the full stroke, MDL also offers a 7/8-inch bore master for higher-volume applications.

    The integral reservoir design keeps everything in one compact, self-contained unit. No remote reservoir mounting, no external lines between reservoir and cylinder - just a clean installation with fewer potential leak points. Every MDL hydraulic master kit is hand-assembled in-house where tolerances and quality are controlled directly. Each unit is tested and proven, then double-checked for fit and finish before it goes in the box.

    This universal kit works with factory clutch pedals and OE reproduction aftermarket units. Standard DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid is all that's required - no expensive high-temp racing fluid necessary.     Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A.
