MDL Lf Series 67-72 Ford F-series Hydraulic Clutch Master Kit |.700 Bore | Black Billet Reservoir.

Upgrading to a modern hydraulic clutch system in your classic 1967–1972 Ford F-Series truck doesn’t have to be a daunting task. From selecting the correct master cylinder to ensuring proper pedal engagement and stroke—Modern Driveline has engineered a complete solution that takes the guesswork out of the equation. The MDL LF Series Master Cylinder Kit is purpose-built to seamlessly retrofit hydraulic clutch control into your vintage truck. One of the biggest challenges with this generation of Ford pickups is the factory firewall construction—its thin gauge steel tends to flex under pedal pressure, compromising performance and feel. To address this, our kit includes a specially designed firewall support bracket that ties the firewall directly to the dash, creating a rock-solid, flex-free mounting point for the master cylinder. The result is precise, reliable clutch engagement and a smooth, confident pedal feel. At the heart of the system is a.700” bore master cylinder with a 1.4” stroke, delivering the ideal fluid volume for most internal or external hydraulic slave systems. The direct-to-pedal linkage ensures consistent travel and a lighter pedal effort—perfect for both daily drivers and performance builds. For added convenience and a clean engine bay appearance, the kit includes a remote-mount billet aluminum reservoir in a black finish, making installation and maintenance easy.

      Important Note:

      • This kit relies on the factory components to be in good working order, any modifications or damage to the firewall, pedal, or pedal hanger will affect master cylinder performance.

My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q.
