MDL Lf Series 67-72 Ford F-series Hydraulic Clutch Master Kit |.700 Bore | Integral Reservoir.

Upgrading to a hydraulic clutch in your 1967-1972 Ford F-Series can be viewed as a daunting task. Finding the correct master cylinder for your application, how do you connect it to the pedal? Do I have enough pedal stroke to release the clutch? All of these questions are solved with the MDL LF Series Master Cylinder Kit. This master cylinder kit features everything you need to retrofit hydraulics into your classic truck. One of the big problems with this generation of truck, is the thickness of the firewall sheet metal. From Ford, the firewall is very thin causing the firewall to flex as you are pressing the clutch pedal. Our design features a support bracket that ties the firewall to the dash creating a secure, flex free mounting point for the master cylinder. The direct to pedal.700 bore and 1.4 stroke generates enough fluid volume to support most aftermarket external or internal slave systems and provides a smooth, light pedal feel. The integral reservoir keeps your firewall clean and makes installation a breeze. Each kit comes complete with everything you need to install including our unique One-Man-Bleeder Kit and comprehensive instructions. If you are looking to elevate the performance of your classic truck, look no further than the Modern Driveline LF Series Clutch Master Cylinder Kit.

      Important Note.

      • This kit relies on the factory components to be in good working order, any modifications or damage to the firewall, pedal, or pedal hanger will affect master cylinder performance.

      FAQs

      Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two untill your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
