    Description

The LF Series External Hydraulic Slave Kit eliminates the chronic headaches of SN95 Mustang clutch cable systems - binding cables, heavy pedal effort, worn cables that drag, and melted housings from header heat. Designed specifically for 1994-1995 5.0L V8 Mustangs with RF-F4ZR-6394-CA aluminum bellhousings and 1994-2004 3.8L V6 Mustangs with RF-F6ZR-6394-AB aluminum bellhousings, this kit converts your cable-actuated clutch to smooth, reliable hydraulic operation with the factory T5 transmission and 7 o'clock fork position.

The heart of the system is a precision 0.750-inch bore hydraulic cylinder that mounts directly inside the bellhousing fork opening, pushing the OEM cable fork from the rear. This rear-mounted configuration provides critical clearance for long tube headers and larger exhaust systems that would otherwise melt a clutch cable. The result is consistent, linear clutch feel with lighter pedal effort that improves every aspect of driving - from stop-and-go traffic to spirited canyon runs.

Installation requires no bellhousing machining or modifications. The kit uses the existing fork opening and includes a bolt-on pivot socket that works with your factory cable-style clutch fork. The adjustable push rod lets you dial in the perfect engagement point, while the -4AN braided stainless steel line handles heat and vibration that would destroy a rubber cable. An easy-access bleed port simplifies initial setup and ongoing maintenance.

When paired with an MDL LF Series master cylinder kit, you get a complete engineered system designed to work together - eliminating guesswork and delivering maximum performance. Compatible with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Works with factory clutch pedals and OE reproduction aftermarket pedals. Made in the USA with lifetime tech support.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
