Description

This Superior Series clutch assembly delivers dual ceramic facings on both the flywheel and pressure plate sides, providing the hard-hitting bite needed for higher horsepower applications, quicker shifts in road racing, and aggressive launches in drag racing where organic materials fall short.
Ceramics and semi-metallics have a higher coefficient of friction than organic or Kevlar materials MDL offers, so they bite harder and hold more power given the same clamping force from the diaphragm pressure plate. MDL's ceramic facings incorporate iron pieces that actually increase friction as the material temperature climbs--making this clutch ideal for high-heat racing applications that would cause other materials to fade or slip. These surfaces are specifically desired in racing applications for how quickly they engage and their ability to handle extreme heat and abuse.
