The dual-material facing strategy puts Kevlar on the flywheel side for controlled initial engagement and ceramic on the pressure plate side for hard-hitting torque capacity. This combination provides 575 lb-ft of holding power - the answer when you can't fit a larger-diameter disc but still need to handle serious power.
Ceramic friction material earns its place in performance applications for a reason: it has a higher coefficient of friction than organic or Kevlar-only options, so it bites harder and holds more torque for a given clamping force.
