Description
The Superior 10.4" Metric HD Clutch Set solves the component-matching challenge for Ford performance builds running the 10.4" metric pressure plate bolt pattern with a 26-spline transmission. This pattern -- using 8mm pressure plate bolts and alignment dowels -- is distinct from the more common 10.5" and 11" Ford patterns, and demands precision-matched components for proper engagement and longevity.
The disc design pairs Kevlar on the flywheel side with steel-backed organic facing on the pressure plate side. The Kevlar material delivers durability and consistent friction characteristics under heat, while the steel backing prevents disc warping under repeated clamping loads. The organic facing on the opposite side provides the smooth, progressive engagement that daily-driven performance vehicles demand -- no harsh grab or chatter.
