Description
When you need more holding power than a standard organic clutch can deliver but want to retain some streetability, this 11" Ford clutch set bridges the gap with its dual-friction design. The Kevlar facing on the flywheel side provides durability and smooth engagement, while the ceramic facing on the pressure plate side delivers the aggressive bite and higher coefficient of friction needed for higher horsepower applications. Ceramic friction material bites harder and holds more power given the same clamping force compared to organic materials, making it ideal for hard launches and spirited driving.
The diaphragm pressure plate features a lower lever height specifically engineered to provide clearance for hydraulic throwout bearings. This design eliminates the interference issues that can plague standard pressure plates when paired with hydraulic release systems. The ceramic material contains iron particles that actually generate more friction as temperatures climb, so bite improves under sustained abuse rather than fading.
All Superior clutch disks are hand-built in-house at Modern Driveline's Caldwell, Idaho facility, allowing complete control over quality and tolerances. Every component is checked and double-checked for accuracy before it goes in the box. This kit fits Ford applications using a 10-spline x 1-1/16" input shaft and 12-5/8" EQ bolt pattern flywheel. Hydraulic throwout bearing sold separately.
