Description
When you need maximum holding power from an 11" disk but can't fit a larger diameter or heavier pressure plate, ceramic/Kevlar dual-material facings deliver the solution. With a higher coefficient of friction than organic materials, this clutch provides more grip with the same clamping force - rated at 650 lb-ft for aggressive street and drag racing applications.
The ceramic friction material excels in racing applications for rapid engagement and extreme heat resistance. MDL's ceramic compound features iron particles that actually create more friction as the material gets hotter under abuse, making it ideal for repeated hard launches and road racing where quick shifts and a hard-hitting bite are essential. When going to a larger diameter clutch isn't an option, ceramic/metallic surfaces provide the increased holding power needed for higher horsepower applications.
All MDL Superior clutch disks are hand-built in-house with care to maintain quality and tolerances. Each disk is checked and double-checked for accuracy before shipping, so you receive a ready-to-install premium piece right out of the box. The 11.5" long pattern diaphragm pressure plate provides the proper bolt pattern for Big Block Change Over applications with hydraulic actuation.
