    Description

    When you need a clutch that bridges the gap between street manners and real performance capability, the Superior Kevlar/Steel-Back Organic clutch set delivers the materials and engineering to handle both. This is not another compromise organic clutch—it is a hybrid friction design purpose-built to solve the tradeoff between aggressive bite and daily-driver pedal feel.

    The split-friction disc puts Kevlar on the pressure plate side for aggressive initial engagement and superior heat resistance under hard use. The steel-backed organic material on the flywheel side provides the smooth modulation you need for parking lots and stop-and-go traffic. The dual-drilled diaphragm pressure plate accepts both 11" long 3-3/8" and 12-3/8" bolt patterns, giving you maximum flexibility across Ford flywheel applications. With a 400 ft-lb torque rating, this clutch handles modified small-blocks and stroker builds while maintaining a pedal feel that will not fatigue your left leg in traffic.

    The 26-spline x 1-1/8" hub is machined for precise fit with TREMEC input shafts—TKX, TKO, and T5 transmissions all use this spline count. The sprung hub construction uses properly tensioned dampening springs to absorb drivetrain shock loads, protecting transmission input shaft splines from the hammering that comes with aggressive launches and spirited driving. This is critical for TREMEC conversions where input shaft replacement is not a quick weekend fix.

    Every Superior clutch disc is hand-built in-house at MDL, with exacting tolerances and quality control inspection before it goes in the box. When you open the kit, you get a ready-to-install premium piece—not something that needs sorting on your garage floor. Made in the USA and backed by a 1-year free-from-defect warranty.
