Converting to a big block Ford or upgrading your existing drivetrain? The Superior Big Block Changeover clutch kit delivers the clamping force and durability that high-torque applications demand. With a 600 ft-lb torque capacity and hydraulic actuation compatibility, this kit is engineered for builders who need serious holding power without sacrificing street manners.
The diaphragm pressure plate uses an 11.5" long bolt pattern designed specifically for the 12-5/8" bolt circle found on big block Ford flywheels. Hydraulic release provides consistent pedal feel and eliminates the maintenance headaches of mechanical linkage. Kevlar/Kevlar friction facings strike the ideal balance between grip and smooth engagement - aggressive enough for spirited driving and open track use, yet refined enough for daily street duty.
The sprung hub disc design cushions engagement, reducing driveline shock and protecting your transmission input shaft. Every Superior clutch is hand-assembled at MDL's Caldwell, Idaho facility using only premium components. Double-riveted facings ensure long-term reliability under hard use, while exacting tolerances guarantee proper fitment right out of the box.
Designed for Ford big block engines using 12-5/8" bolt pattern flywheels and 26 spline input shafts. Compatible with performance street and open track applications. Requires a hydraulic release bearing (not included). Made in the USA and backed by MDL's 1-year free-from-defect warranty.
