This MDL Superior 9-inch clutch assembly delivers a complete, ready-to-install solution for 1967-1973 Ford inline 6-cylinder vehicles running the factory cable-release clutch system. The organic/organic friction material provides smooth, progressive engagement that's ideal for street driving and weekend cruising without the grabby, on-off characteristics of aggressive race compounds.

Every Superior clutch disc is hand-assembled in-house at MDL's Caldwell, Idaho facility. The double-riveted friction material construction ensures facing integrity under repeated engagement cycles, while the sprung hub design absorbs driveline shock and reduces chatter during takeup. The diaphragm-style pressure plate delivers consistent clamping force across the entire disc surface, rated at 150 ft-lb torque capacity for reliable street performance.

The 10-spline x 1-1/16" hub configuration matches stock Ford 3-speed and overdrive transmission input shafts, and the cable-style throw-out bearing is specifically designed for Ford's mechanical linkage. This kit ships complete with a pilot bushing to properly center the transmission input shaft and an alignment tool for accurate disc positioning during installation. Note: When using the MD-LBS-136 flywheel, three alignment pins (MD-403-3016) are required and sold separately.
