    Description

    Finding a quality 9-inch clutch for your '67-'73 Ford inline six has been nearly impossible-until now. This Superior Series clutch kit delivers a complete, ready-to-install solution for late-model Ford 200 c.i. inline 6-cylinder engines equipped with the 9-inch bellhousing and 26-spline transmission. In 1967 and beyond, most Ford passenger cars transitioned to the 9-inch bell/clutch combination with a flat 136-tooth flywheel, making this kit the correct fitment for Mustangs, Falcons, Mavericks, and other platforms from that era.

    The diaphragm-style pressure plate provides consistent clamping force across the pedal travel, while the organic facings deliver smooth, progressive engagement that's ideal for daily drivers and weekend cruisers. Unlike aggressive ceramic or metallic friction materials, organic compounds are forgiving on launches and won't chatter in stop-and-go traffic-exactly what you want in a street-driven inline six build.

For those planning a TREMEC T-5 overdrive conversion, MDL offers adapter plates that let you keep your existing bellhousing, clutch, and starter while modernizing your drivetrain.
