Description
When your Ford big block swap needs serious holding power but you're constrained by the 11.5" long pattern bolt circle, the Superior Kevlar/Ceramic clutch kit delivers. The Kevlar/ceramic friction surfaces provide a higher coefficient of friction than standard organic materials, allowing the same clamping force to hold significantly more power--rated at 650 ft-lb of torque capacity. This makes it ideal for high-horsepower street builds, drag racing launches, and road racing where aggressive engagement is critical.
The ceramic face is engineered for racing applications where quick engagement and extreme heat resistance are essential. MDL's ceramic formulation includes iron content that actually increases friction as temperatures rise, making this clutch stronger under punishment rather than weaker. The Kevlar backing provides smooth street manners while the ceramic face delivers race-proven bite.
The 11.5" long pattern diaphragm pressure plate is specifically designed for Ford Big Block Change Over (BBCO) applications. Every Superior clutch disc is hand-built in MDL's Idaho facility to exacting tolerances, then double-checked for accuracy before shipping.
