Description
The Superior Ford BBCO Clutch Set addresses the fitment challenge of matching Ford Big Block engines to modern performance transmissions. This 11.5" long pattern system uses a diaphragm pressure plate designed specifically for Big Block Change Over applications, delivering reliable clamping force and consistent engagement across the full friction surface.
The hybrid friction material approach pairs Kevlar on the pressure plate side with steel-backed organic facing on the flywheel side. This combination delivers controlled engagement characteristics without the aggressive grab of full-Kevlar setups. The Kevlar surface handles heat and provides durability under load, while the organic side ensures smooth modulation for street driving. Rated at 500 ft-lb torque capacity, this setup handles Performance Street Plus applications with confidence.
Designed for hydraulic release systems, this clutch set delivers smooth pedal feel and precise clutch control. The 10 spline x 1-1/16" hub matches common transmission input shaft configurations, and the sprung hub design absorbs driveline shock for smoother operation. Every Superior clutch disk is hand-assembled in MDL's facility with components double-checked for balance, runout, and assembly tolerances before packaging.
