Description
Classic Ford flathead clutch components are increasingly hard to source, and even harder to find when you're converting to a modern TREMEC transmission. MDL's Superior clutch kit bridges the gap between vintage flathead engineering and contemporary 26-spline input shafts found on TKO and TKX transmissions -- eliminating the need for adapters or compromise.
The Kevlar/Kevlar friction disc delivers the heat resistance and holding power that organic facings simply can't match under repeated hard use. The 10" long pattern pressure plate uses a diaphragm spring design with a 6-bolt pattern divided into 3 groups of 2 with 3.125" center-to-center bolt spacing, ensuring proper compatibility with Ford flathead flywheels drilled for the long pattern. The diaphragm design provides consistent clamping force and a more linear pedal feel compared to vintage three-finger setups.
