    Description

    Building a GM performance drivetrain with hydraulic clutch actuation demands a clutch system that can handle repeated heat cycles without losing grip. This Superior Kevlar/Kevlar clutch kit is purpose-built for push-type hydraulic release systems, delivering 600 lb-ft of torque capacity for everything from spirited street driving to dedicated open track sessions. The dual Kevlar friction configuration offers the heat resistance and durability that organic facings simply cannot match under hard use.

    Kevlar friction material behaves differently than organic compounds under thermal stress. Where organic facings lose coefficient of friction as temperatures climb, Kevlar actually increases its grip when heated -- meaning your clutch holds harder precisely when you're pushing it hardest. The material also recovers from heat cycles without the glazing and permanent damage that sidelines organic discs. The result is a clutch that maintains consistent engagement characteristics lap after lap or through heavy traffic without degrading.

    The diaphragm-style pressure plate provides even clamping force across the entire friction surface while reducing pedal effort compared to Long-style designs. The 12-5/8in equal bolt pattern mounts directly to GM V8 flywheels, and the 10 x 1-1/16in spline hub matches GM transmission input shafts for TREMEC TKX, TKO, and T56 Magnum conversions. This kit is designed for performance street and open tracking applications where consistent, repeatable engagement matters.

    Every Superior clutch is hand-assembled at MDL's facility in Idaho, where each unit undergoes individual quality control inspection before shipping. You receive a ready-to-install, precision-balanced assembly right out of the box. Note that no throw-out bearing is included -- you'll need a hydraulic release bearing matched to your specific transmission. Made in the USA and backed by a 1-year free-from-defect warranty.
