Description
Stock clutches can't keep pace with modified 4.6L Cobra engines - and when you're running cable actuation, your options get even more limited. The MDL Superior Kevlar/Ceramic clutch kit solves both problems with a purpose-built upgrade designed specifically for 2001-2004 Mustang Cobra (will also fit Modular 5.0L with cable release) applications using cable clutch release.
The dual-faced disk design is where this clutch earns its reputation. The Kevlar face provides the smooth, progressive engagement characteristics you need for street driving and traffic, while the ceramic face delivers the high coefficient of friction required for hard launches and high-torque applications. The 11" metric pressure plate uses a 10mm bolt pattern with a diaphragm design that's been finger-profiled specifically for cable release geometry. Every Superior disk is hand-assembled at MDL's Idaho facility using double-riveted construction and the finest available components - then double-checked for tolerances before shipping.
