Description
Organic clutches work fine for daily driving, but they fall short when your AMC sees repeated high-heat cycles from spirited street driving or track sessions. Once an organic disc overheats, it sustains permanent damage and loses its coefficient of friction. Kevlar solves this problem: it actually increases torque capacity as temperature rises, then recovers fully once cooled--no glazing, no permanent degradation.
This Superior Series clutch set pairs dual Kevlar facings with a diaphragm pressure plate engineered specifically for AMC applications. The full-face Kevlar disc provides smooth, progressive engagement that feels streetable while offering durability that organic materials simply cannot match. The sprung hub isolates driveline shock loads, protecting your transmission synchros and eliminating the chatter common with rigid-hub competition discs.
The diaphragm pressure plate delivers consistent clamping force across the full pedal travel--no pressure spikes, no finger fatigue on long drives. Each clutch disc is hand-assembled at MDL's Caldwell, Idaho facility with quality-controlled tolerances and inspected before shipping. Designed for mechanical clutch actuation systems.
