The heart of this system is the lower lever height diaphragm pressure plate, engineered specifically for hydraulic release systems. This optimized geometry ensures proper throwout bearing travel and consistent pedal feel with hydraulic slave cylinders. The Kevlar/Kevlar disc construction offers the best of both worlds--smooth, predictable engagement for daily driving with the heat resistance and durability needed for performance applications. Unlike organic facings that lose torque capacity when heated, Kevlar maintains its grip under hard use and resists burning when slipped excessively.
Every Superior clutch disc is hand-built in MDL's facility, ensuring precise balance, proper marcel spring tension, and consistent friction characteristics. The 26-spline x 1-1/8" hub fits TREMEC TKO, TKX, and T-56 transmissions, while the 10.5" diameter disc with 11-5/8" equal spacing bolt pattern works with standard Chevy flywheel configurations.
