Description

Stock clutches in modified Coyote and 4.6L Mustangs slip, overheat, and wear out prematurely once you add power. The MDL Superior clutch kit solves these problems with a hand-built assembly engineered for the demands of performance street driving and spirited track days in your 2011-2025 Mustang.

At the heart of this kit is MDL's Superior clutch disk, featuring Kevlar/steel back organic facings. The steel backing plate resists warping under high heat loads while the Kevlar organic facing delivers smooth, progressive engagement without the harshness of full-ceramic friction materials. The sprung hub design absorbs drivetrain shock and torsional vibration, preserving comfortable daily-driver characteristics even at 450 ft-lbs of torque capacity.

The 11" metric diaphragm pressure plate features the correct 10mm dowel pin bolt pattern and a clutch finger profile specifically engineered for hydraulic release systems used in 2011-up Mustangs. This ensures proper throwout bearing engagement and consistent pedal feel without the disengagement issues that plague mismatched components.

Every Superior clutch disk is hand-built in-house at MDL, where exacting tolerances and quality are double-checked before shipping. This Performance Proven design has survived rigorous racing challenges both on and off track. Fits all 2011-2025 Ford Mustangs with 4.6L and 5.0L engines. Note: throwout bearing not included.
