Swapping a Ford transmission behind a Chevy engine? This Superior organic clutch kit bridges the gap, pairing a Chevy-pattern 10.5" diaphragm pressure plate with a Ford 10-spline 1-1/16" clutch disk. The result is a complete clutch solution for hybrid powertrains running TREMEC T-5, TKO-500, TKX, or other Ford-pattern 10-spline transmissions behind GM small blocks and other Chevy-bolt-pattern engines.
The diaphragm pressure plate delivers consistent clamping force with manageable pedal effort - a significant improvement over long-style clutches for street driving. Rated at 250 ft-lbs, this kit handles stock and mildly modified engines without overkill. The organic/organic facing combination provides the smoothest engagement characteristics available, making it forgiving for daily drivers while still delivering the durability serious enthusiasts demand.
Every Superior clutch disk is hand-built at MDL's Caldwell, Idaho facility. The sprung hub design isolates the drivetrain from engine harmonics, reducing gear rattle and extending component life. The 11-5/8" bolt pattern matches standard Chevy flywheels, and the included .670" ID pilot bushing ensures proper input shaft support. This American-made kit arrives ready to install with an alignment tool and full break-in instructions.
NOTE: This kit does not include a throwout bearing. Select the appropriate bearing for your bellhousing and release system separately.
