Description
Hydraulic release systems demand precise geometry between the throwout bearing and pressure plate fingers. Standard pressure plates often create clearance or engagement issues when paired with hydraulic slave cylinders. The MDL Superior Organic clutch set solves this problem with a diaphragm pressure plate engineered with reduced lever height, ensuring proper throwout bearing travel and smooth clutch operation without interference.
The diaphragm design delivers consistent static clamping pressure unaffected by engine RPM, with a lighter pedal effort than coil-spring alternatives. This makes it ideal for street performance builds where drivability matters as much as holding power. The 10.5-inch organic clutch disc features premium woven friction material on both sides, providing the smooth, progressive engagement characteristics that daily drivers demand while delivering 250 ft-lb of torque capacity.
Every MDL Superior clutch is hand-built in-house at their Caldwell, Idaho facility. Components are double-checked for quality, exacting tolerances, and flawless operation before shipping. The sprung hub design absorbs drivetrain shock loads, reducing gear rattle and providing refined pedal feel. This clutch set is designed for Ford 10-spline transmission applications using Chevy 11-5/8-inch equal bolt pattern flywheels.
