This Superior Series steel-backed organic clutch kit delivers the 26-spline hub configuration and 450 ft-lb torque capacity your modern manual swap demands, with smooth engagement characteristics suited for aggressive street driving.
The steel backing plate construction provides superior heat dissipation compared to standard organic discs, extending clutch life under spirited driving conditions. The organic facing material maintains the progressive engagement feel that makes daily driving livable while still holding up to moderate power adders. Each clutch disc is hand-assembled in-house at MDL, with precision tolerances verified before shipping to ensure flawless operation straight out of the box.
The included diaphragm pressure plate features hydraulic release finger geometry optimized for modern slave cylinder actuation systems. The 11" metric 10mm bolt pattern provides the larger friction surface needed for increased holding power while maintaining compatibility with factory and aftermarket flywheels designed for this pattern. The sprung hub design absorbs drivetrain shock and smooths gear engagement.
This kit fits 4.6L and 5.0L Coyote engines in 2005-2025 Mustangs. Note that no throwout bearing is included; this kit is designed for hydraulic release systems using an internal or external slave cylinder.
