Description
Classic Ford builds running factory 10-spline transmissions need a clutch that balances street manners with reliable torque capacity. The Super King Cobra Kit solves this with steel-backed organic facings that provide smooth engagement and 400 ft-lb holding power for spirited street driving and cruising applications.
The diaphragm-style pressure plate reduces pedal effort compared to Long-style units while still delivering strong, consistent clamping force. Steel-backed organic friction material offers the progressive bite street drivers want without the harsh engagement of ceramic or the heat sensitivity of pure organic facings. The sprung hub absorbs drivetrain shock during engagement, protecting synchros and extending clutch life in stop-and-go traffic.
This kit targets Ford applications using the 10.4" metric clutch pattern with 10-spline input shafts, including 5.0L Mustangs and similar small-block builds running factory T5, T-45, or other 10-spline transmissions. The mechanical actuation design works with cable or linkage throwout systems without any hydraulic conversion.
