Description

This dual-material design solves the problem by delivering a higher coefficient of friction than organic or Kevlar-only facings -- so the clutch bites harder and holds more power given the same clamping force from the pressure plate.
The engineering behind this ceramic/Kevlar combination makes it ideal for racing and high-performance street applications. Ceramic facings thrive where heat and abuse would overwhelm organic materials -- the iron content in MDL's ceramic compound actually creates more friction as temperatures climb, which is critical for repeated hard launches and sustained high-RPM operation. The Kevlar backing provides modulated engagement and extended durability, giving you a clutch that's aggressive on the track but still livable when you're cruising to the show.
This 11" clutch set features a diaphragm-style pressure plate with a 12-5/8" equal-spacing bolt pattern, compatible with Mopar applications requiring 26-spline input shafts on a 1-1/8" hub. The sprung hub construction absorbs drivetrain shock while maintaining precise power transfer -- essential for high-torque launches where unsprung discs would hammer the gearbox.
