Description
Converting your '66-'70 B-Body from mechanical clutch linkage to hydraulics solves several headaches at once: eliminates the hunt for increasingly rare Z-bar components, clears space for aftermarket headers, and delivers a smoother, more consistent pedal feel. This complete master cylinder kit provides everything you need to make that conversion on your Belvedere, Charger, Coronet, GTX, Road Runner, Satellite, Super Bee, or Super Bird.
The master cylinder assembly integrates the fluid reservoir directly into the unit, reducing potential leak points and simplifying underhood packaging. The included reservoir line ensures proper fluid circulation, while the fitting package and pedal attachment hardware provide secure, leak-free connections throughout the system. This kit is designed to work with your existing factory clutch pedal or OE reproduction aftermarket pedals-no pedal swap required.
For proper clutch engagement, the master cylinder requires a throw distance of 1.4 inches, which may require clutch pedal height adjustment in the vehicle. Pedal bottoming can be addressed by balancing adjustments between the clevis and pedal. The system uses DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid only-high-temperature or silicone fluids are not compatible. This is a master cylinder kit only; slave cylinder and release bearing components are sold separately.
Made in the USA. Complete installation instructions guide you through proper mounting, setup, and bleeding procedures for optimal system performance.
