Description
Converting your classic Mopar to hydraulic clutch actuation eliminates the binding, wear, and constant adjustment headaches inherent in mechanical linkage systems. This master cylinder kit delivers consistent, smooth clutch engagement with noticeably reduced pedal effort compared to original Z-bar setups. The remote reservoir design gives you installation flexibility--mount the fluid reservoir away from engine compartment heat while maintaining proper bleeding capability through the system.
The master cylinder assembly features precision-machined components engineered to handle the hydraulic pressures required for reliable clutch disengagement in performance applications. The included reservoir line connects the master cylinder to the remote reservoir, eliminating the need for an integral reservoir that can complicate firewall mounting in tight engine bays. All fittings are included to ensure leak-free connections throughout the hydraulic circuit.
This kit integrates directly with your existing clutch pedal assembly, whether you're running an original factory pedal or an OE reproduction unit. For proper operation, the system requires a 1.4-inch master cylinder throw distance--pedal height adjustment may be necessary to achieve this specification. If the pedal bottoms out, balance adjustments between the clevis and pedal assembly until the issue is resolved. If the pedal feels spongy or the slave cylinder response is delayed, re-bleed the system following the included instructions.
Compatible with 1970-1974 Mopar B Body vehicles (Charger, Road Runner, Coronet, Satellite, GTX, Super Bee) and E Body vehicles (Challenger, Barracuda). System operates on standard DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid--high-temperature brake fluid is not required for this application. Proudly made in the USA with comprehensive installation instructions and lifetime technical support from MDL.
