T-5 transmissions are perfect for first gen Mustangs as they installed without modications. Our offset shifter slides into the OEM shifter hole with the correct back to retain the stock shifter position. Using the stock five bolt bellhousing keeps cost down and retain the clutch linkage, fork, and and related parts. Installing a T-5 is as easy as installing an adapter plate behind a stock 3, 4 speed bellhousing with the use of an adapter plate. Tremec T-5 5-speed single overdrive manual shift transmisison packge is light weight and compact. Capable of handling over 330ft/lbs of Torgue, a T-5 is a cost effective choice with a single overdrive reducing rpms, increasing fuel mileage but more importantly increasing smiles per mile.
