      Q. Do I need this plate to measure the T-56/magnum bellhousing centering? A. It is the only what to measure the alignment to the crank short of removing the front plate of the transmission, which not recommend for several reasons. Unlike 3, 4 bellhousings, the bellhousing transmission opening does not have a machined surface to measure against. The plate bolts to the two alignment pins and has a machined opening. This work on both aluminum and steel bellhousings.
