Description
Some TKX swaps put the transmission exactly where you need it for drivetrain geometry, but leave the factory shifter location too far back for your console or driver preference. The MDL Qwik Stik Front Position Shifter solves that problem by relocating the shift point forward, giving you precise lever placement without awkward reaches or console modifications.
This precision-machined shifter assembly mounts directly to your TREMEC TKX transmission, replacing the need for generic adapters or cobbled-together solutions. The billet aluminum construction saves weight while the anodized finish resists corrosion and heat. Belleville washers provide the detent force that makes 2-3 shifts feel crisp and deliberate rather than vague or notchy. Unlike shifters that rely on mechanical stops, this no-stops design uses the Belleville spring tension alone, making servicing simple if you ever need to access the shifter internals.
The straight-up stub configuration with no offset positions the lever directly above the shifter base, ideal for builds where the transmission centerline already aligns with your desired shift location. The 7/8" on-center mounting pattern accepts most aftermarket shift levers, so you can choose your preferred lever length and style. A high-temperature lower dust boot seals the shifter opening, keeping oil mist in and contaminants out.
The TKX is rated for 600 lb-ft of torque and shifts at 7,500 RPM, and this shifter is engineered to match that capability with precision components and American craftsmanship. Compatible with all TREMEC TKX 5-speed transmissions. Made in the USA.
