Description
TREMEC 3550 and TKO transmissions deliver serious torque capacity, but the factory shifter often lands in the wrong spot for classic builds and tight transmission tunnels. The MDL Qwik Stik solves both problems at once: it relocates your shift lever exactly where you need it while delivering a close-ratio, short-throw action that transforms every gear change into a precise, mechanical event.
These precision-machined, anodized plates mount directly to your transmission case, eliminating the guesswork and shimming that plague universal shifter solutions. The billet aluminum construction sheds weight compared to cast-iron factory units, while the compact top turret clears the restricted floor openings common in '60s and '70s muscle cars. Belleville washers provide positive detent action that makes 2-3 shifts feel like a rifle bolt—no slop, no missed gates, just clean mechanical engagement every time.
Unlike conventional shifters that rely on plastic or metal stops to limit travel, the Qwik Stik uses a Belleville spring design that eliminates stops entirely. This means nothing to break, nothing to replace, and easy access when service is required. The 7/8-inch on-center mounting pattern accepts virtually all aftermarket shift levers, so you can run the handle and knob that fits your build. The included high-temperature lower dust boot seals out debris and protects internal components from contamination.
This shifter features a 2" left offset with your choice of 1.95" or 2.45" forward positioning from the rear shifter position. Note: This shifter does not have any stops. Compatible with TREMEC 3550 and TKO transmissions. Proudly manufactured 100% in the USA.
