    Description

    The TREMEC TKX delivers 600 lb-ft of torque capacity and shifts cleanly at 7,500 RPM, but its stock shifter often falls short of what second-gen F-body builders need. The Qwik Stik eliminates the compromises. This precision-machined shifter drops directly onto your TKX transmission and positions the shift lever exactly where you need it for 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird applications—no guesswork, no custom fabrication, no tunnel modifications.

    The engineering starts with the specific 1-inch left offset paired with your choice of .65" or 1.15" forward positioning from the rear location. The rear socket design accepts any standard aftermarket shift lever with 7/8-inch on-center mounting, giving you flexibility to dial in stick height and throw distance to your preference. This puts the shifter in the factory console location without floor modifications.

    Belleville washers replace traditional detent springs, providing superior 2-3 shift feel without the binding common in other designs. The no-stop configuration eliminates weak points that can break under aggressive shifting while making servicing straightforward when needed. Every plate is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and anodized for long-term durability, and the high-temperature dust boot keeps transmission oil where it belongs.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
