    Description

    Getting a TKX shifter in the factory position on a '67 Camaro or Firebird means dealing with offset challenges the stock TREMEC shifter wasn't designed to solve. The MDL Qwik Stik is purpose-built for this application: a short-throw, close-ratio shifter with a 1" left offset and your choice of .65" or 1.15" forward stub placement to land the lever exactly where the factory console expects it.

    The precision-machined billet aluminum construction eliminates the flex and vagueness of stamped steel designs while saving weight. Belleville washers create positive detent engagement that translates to lightning-fast, confidence-inspiring shifts—particularly noticeable in the 2-3 gate where sloppy shifters cost time. The compact top turret sits lower than stock, clearing tight F-body tunnel openings without floor modifications.

    Unlike designs with internal stops that can break or wear, the Qwik Stik relies on the TKX's internal three-rail shift system for gear engagement, making service access simple when needed. The 7/8" on-center shift stub works with most aftermarket levers, so you can run your preferred setup. A high-temperature dust boot seals the assembly against oil and road debris.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
