Description
When you drop a TREMEC TKX into your '78-'83 Malibu, the factory shifter location rarely lines up with the tunnel opening. The MDL Qwik Stik solves this problem with precision-engineered offset positioning that places your shift lever exactly where your hand expects it - no guesswork, no cobbled-together brackets, no compromise.
This close ratio, short throw shifter features precision-machined billet aluminum plates that bolt directly to the TKX transmission case. The 1" left and 1.95" or 2.45" backward offset stub configuration is dialed in specifically for G-body Malibu tunnel dimensions, bringing your shifter up to the factory position. Belleville washers create positive detent engagement for that crisp, confident feel - especially on the critical 2-3 transition. Unlike designs with mechanical stops that can break under hard use, the Qwik Stik's stopless architecture means nothing to fail and easier servicing when needed.
The 7/8-inch on-center mounting pattern accepts virtually all aftermarket shift levers. Simply attach your lever, boot, and knob - the Qwik Stik handles the positioning. A high-temperature lower dust boot seals the transmission from contamination, and the anodized finish resists wear from years of shifting cycles.
