    Description

    The factory TREMEC Magnum shifter works great in modern applications, but classic Mustang tunnel openings are a different story. The Qwik Stik solves shifter placement headaches in '65-'73 Mustangs by combining a compact top turret with precise offset positioning - no floor surgery required. This front-position shifter puts your shift knob exactly where a factory lever would sit while delivering the short-throw, close-ratio response that makes rowing through six gears a pleasure.

    The engineering starts with billet aluminum construction, precision-machined and anodized for long-term durability. The 1" left offset combined with your choice of .65" or 1.15" backward positioning dials in the exact lever location for front-mount applications. Need to clear a bench seat? The 7/8in on-center mounting pattern on the stub accepts virtually any aftermarket shift lever, so you can run your preferred handle and knob.

    Shift quality comes from the Belleville washer detent system. Unlike traditional springs that wear out or stops that break, Belleville washers provide consistent, positive detent pressure for crisp 2-3 shifts under hard acceleration. The no-stops design also means internal servicing is straightforward - no removal required. A high-temperature dust/oil boot seals the assembly against contaminants that could compromise your 700 lb-ft-rated Magnum internals.

    Compatible with all TREMEC Ford T56 Magnum 6-speed transmissions. Precision-machined mounting plates bolt directly to the transmission, taking the guesswork out of shifter placement. Proudly crafted in the USA.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
