Description
The TREMEC Magnum's rear shifter position often lands too far back for classic muscle car builds -- especially in vehicles with bench seats or tight console spacing. The MDL Qwik Stik solves this by mounting in the Magnum's front shifter socket, then adding a 1.65" or 2.15" forward offset stub. The result: your shifter lands exactly where your hand naturally falls, without hacking up the floor or fighting awkward ergonomics.
Machined from billet aluminum and finished with a protective anodize, the Qwik Stik delivers a short-throw, direct-feel shift that embarrasses the stock TREMEC unit. The smaller top turret clears the tunnel shifter opening without floor modifications -- a constant headache with factory Magnum shifters in retrofit applications. The Belleville spring design replaces the plastic or metal stops found in OEM and lesser aftermarket shifters, which are prone to breakage under aggressive shifting. No stops means nothing to snap off, plus easy serviceability when maintenance is needed.
Belleville washers provide positive detent engagement for a crisp, confident 2-3 shift feel. The 7/8" on-center mounting pattern on the shift stub accepts virtually all aftermarket shift levers, so you can run your preferred Hurst, B&M, or other lever setup. A high-temperature lower dust/oil boot seals the shifter base against debris and fluid intrusion.
This kit includes a rear cover plate to seal the unused rear shift position on the Magnum case. Designed specifically for TREMEC Magnum 6-speed transmissions in front socket applications. Made in the USA with the precision tolerances that eliminate shifter play and ensure years of reliable service.
