    Description

    Swapping a TREMEC Magnum double-overdrive 6-speed into a classic GM or Ford chassis? The stock Magnum shifter turret sits too far forward or outboard for many vintage tunnel openings. MDL's Qwik Stik solves that problem with a precision-engineered 2" left, straight up or .5" forward offset that brings the shifter handle back to the factory console position in '63–'74 Nova, Chevy II, '64–'67 Chevelle, and '60–'64 Galaxy applications.

    This isn't a crude adapter plate. The Qwik Stik is machined from billet aluminum and hard-anodized for corrosion resistance and durability. Integrated Belleville washers provide the positive detent feel you need for quick, confident 2-3 shifts under hard driving. Unlike traditional shifters that rely on mechanical stops—which can break under abuse—the Qwik Stik's Belleville spring design delivers smooth gate transitions while making future servicing simple.

    The compact turret design clears tight tunnel openings, and the 7/8-inch on-center stub pattern accepts most aftermarket shift levers so you can choose the handle that fits your build. A high-temperature lower dust boot keeps gear oil vapor and debris out of the cabin. The rear shifter position and front socket orientation are optimized for the specific tunnel geometry of these classic platforms.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
