Stock shifters create problems in swap applications - bulky turrets that won't clear factory tunnel openings, long throws that slow you down, and mechanical stops that eventually break or bind. The MDL Qwik Stik eliminates all three issues with purpose-built engineering for Chevy S-10 and Camaro T56 and T5 applications.
The compact top turret is the key differentiator. It's sized specifically to clear tight factory floor openings without cutting sheet metal or modifying your tunnel. The billet aluminum construction drops weight compared to cast stock units while the anodized finish resists corrosion far better than OEM alternatives.
What sets this shifter apart is the no-stops design. Instead of conventional mechanical stops that can break or bind under hard use, the Belleville spring system provides consistent feel and positive detent engagement while allowing easy disassembly when maintenance is needed. The Belleville washers create crisp, positive engagement - particularly noticeable in the 2-3 shift where vague stock shifters tend to miss. The short-throw ratio reduces shift effort and travel, delivering the lightning-quick response serious drivers demand.
This straight-up, no-offset version positions the shifter directly above the transmission mounting point with a square base plate design. The 7/8" on-center shifter stub fits most aftermarket shift levers, so you can run your preferred lever setup. Fits both T56 and S-10 T5 transmissions.
