Eliminate floor tunnel cutting and shifter placement headaches with MDL's precision-engineered Qwik Stik shifter for TKO500/600 transmissions. Traditional transmission swaps often require cutting sheet metal when the stock shifter location doesn't align with your floor opening - and even then, the reach can feel awkward. This front shift solution mounts directly to your transmission's mid position and includes a steel cover plate to cap off the factory rear shifter location, giving you a complete conversion kit.
The precision-machined billet aluminum base plate bolts directly to your transmission, taking all the guesswork out of shifter placement. The compact top turret is specifically designed to clear factory tunnel openings without modification. With a 1" left offset and the option to run the stub straight up or 0.500" forward, you can dial in ergonomics to suit your driving position. The short-throw design delivers lightning-quick response, and the hard anodized finish stands up to years of aggressive shifting.
Unlike shifters with external stop hardware that can break or wear out, the Qwik Stik relies entirely on TREMEC's internal transmission stops - the TKO physically cannot be over-shifted, so external stops are unnecessary complexity. The Belleville washer detent system provides crisp, positive engagement, particularly during 2-3 shifts where the factory shifter can feel vague. The 7/8" on-center stub mounting pattern accepts most aftermarket shift levers, so you can run your preferred lever, boot, and knob combination.
