Description
Swapping a TREMEC TKO five-speed into a classic puts modern overdrive performance under your right foot - but the stock TKO shifter location rarely lands where your factory four-speed shifter used to be. The Qwik Stik solves that problem. This precision shifter relocates your TKO 500 or TKO 600 controls to the original factory position, eliminating the awkward reach and compromised ergonomics that come with a standard TKO installation.
The engineering centers on a precision-machined billet aluminum base plate that mounts directly to your TKO transmission case. The 2" left offset with straight up or .5" forward positioning is specifically engineered for '60-'64 Galaxy, '68-'72 GTO/LeMans, '68-'72 Cutlass, '62-'67 Chevy II, and '68-'74 Nova applications. Belleville washers create positive detent engagement with crisp mechanical feedback that tells you exactly where each gear locks in - no vague gates or uncertain shifts.
The rear shifter position and front socket configuration work with the shorter throw geometry to reduce shift effort while maintaining precise gate definition. Because this shifter has no internal stops, the entire assembly can be serviced without transmission removal - a significant advantage when tuning or maintenance is needed. The high-temperature dust boot seals the bottom end while the anodized aluminum finish resists corrosion and wear.
