The factory rear shifter position on TREMEC TKO transmissions doesn't work for every build. Bench seat applications, street rods, and builds with restrictive interior layouts often need the shifter moved forward - and that's exactly what this Qwik Stik Front Shift Conversion delivers. By relocating the shift point approximately 19 inches from the engine block, this kit puts the lever where you can actually reach it comfortably.
The billet aluminum construction delivers both strength and significant weight savings over cast alternatives. The compact turret profile clears tight floor openings that larger shifters simply can't navigate - a critical advantage in vintage applications with minimal tunnel clearance. The 1" or 1.5" backward offset stub allows fine-tuning of the final shifter position to dial in exactly where the lever needs to land for your specific interior layout.
This shifter features a no-stops design. TREMEC TKO transmissions have internal stops and cannot be over-shifted, making external stops unnecessary - and eliminating a common failure point found on other shifters. The high-temperature lower dust boot handles the heat that comes with spirited driving. The included rear cover plate seals the original shifter opening once you've relocated to the front shift position.
