Description
Factory shifters on TREMEC TKO transmissions use spring-loaded detents on three internal shift rods, creating that notorious notchy feel during shifts. At higher RPMs, the stock setup resists quick, precise gear changes - exactly when you need them most. The Qwik Stik Shifter replaces the factory unit with a purpose-built, short-throw design that delivers lightning-quick response and positions the shift lever where it belongs in classic applications.
Precision-machined from billet aluminum and finished in black anodize, the Qwik Stik mounts directly to your TKO500 or TKO600 transmission's rear shifter location with no modifications. The smaller top turret clears tight floor openings where the bulky factory shifter simply won't fit. Belleville washers replace traditional detent mechanisms, providing excellent positive engagement that translates to crisp 2-3 shifts without the vague, rubbery feel of OE components.
Because TREMEC TKO transmissions have internal stops and cannot be over-shifted, this shifter is designed without external stops - meaning there are no plastic or metal stops to break or replace over time, and servicing the shifter is straightforward. The 7/8" on-center mounting pattern on the stub accommodates most aftermarket shift levers, so you can pair it with your preferred lever and knob combination. The included high-temperature dust boot protects the internal mechanism from debris and fluid contamination.
