Description
The TREMEC TR6060 uses a semi-remote shifter assembly that mounts to both the transmission and vehicle body, creating an application-specific design that limits shifter positioning options. The MDL Qwik Stik solves this problem by replacing the entire factory linkage system with a direct-mount, short-throw shifter that bolts directly into the transmission mid-case where the stock linkage enters.
Machined from billet aluminum and finished with a hard anodized coating, this shifter eliminates the factory shift stops entirely. The no-stops configuration removes the failure-prone detent components while maintaining crisp, positive shift feel through Belleville washers that provide excellent detent action without parts that can break or require replacement. The compact top turret design clears restrictive tunnel openings without floor modifications.
The 1" left, straight up or .5" forward offset positions the shifter stub exactly where you need it for comfortable, natural shifting. Combined with the short-throw design, you get reduced shift travel and faster gear changes—ideal for performance driving where split-second shifts matter.
