Description
Thread compatibility shouldn't force you to abandon a perfectly good shift knob. This reducing insert solves the common problem of mismatched threads when upgrading shift levers or swapping shift knobs between builds. The insert threads into any 16mm x 1.50 internally-threaded shift knob and reduces the connection down to 9mm x 1.25 to mate with your shift lever.
The insert allows you to retain your favorite shift knob when adapting to a new set of threads on your shift lever, or enables you to install a new shift knob on threads you already have. Installation is straightforward -- thread the insert into your shift knob, position on the lever, and lock everything down with the included jam nut to prevent loosening during spirited driving.
This adapter opens up shift knob and lever combinations that wouldn't otherwise be compatible.
