Shift Knob Thread Reducer Insert & Jam Nut | 16mm to 1/2"-20

    Key Features

    • Converts 16mm metric threaded shift knobs to 1/2"-20 SAE thread
    • Direct fit for 1960s Ford OEM chrome shift levers
    • Includes jam nut to lock the assembly and prevent loosening
    • Compatible with Fairlane, Mustang, Cougar, Falcon, Galaxie, and other Ford applications

    Description

Classic Ford shift levers from the 1960s use 1/2"-20 SAE threads, but many modern and aftermarket shift knobs are tapped with 16mm metric threading. This reducer insert bridges that gap, letting you mount your preferred 16mm knob onto the factory Ford lever without modification or compromise.

The insert threads onto the shift lever's 1/2"-20 male threads, providing a 16mm female socket to accept metric shift knobs. The included jam nut cinches down against the insert to lock everything in place, eliminating the wobble and loosening that plague makeshift adapter setups.

Ideal for builders restoring Fairlanes, Mustangs, Cougars, Falcons, Galaxies, and other Ford models equipped with OEM chrome shift levers. Keep the factory shifter mechanism and upgrade to the shift knob of your choice.
