Description
Upgrading to a Lokar shift lever on your TREMEC-equipped build but don't want to give up your favorite shift knob? This thread reducing insert solves the compatibility problem. Lokar shifters use 3/8-24 threads at the top of the lever, while many OEM and aftermarket shift knobs--including popular universal 16mm-threaded styles--won't thread directly onto that pattern. This insert bridges the gap, letting you mate a 16mm-threaded knob to your new Lokar lever.
The insert threads into the internal 16mm threads of your shift knob, presenting external 3/8-24 threads that mate directly to the Lokar lever. The included jam nut cinches down against the lever to lock the assembly in place, preventing the knob from backing off during spirited driving or repeated shifting. It's a small piece of hardware that makes a big difference when you're mixing and matching components to get exactly the look and feel you want in your build.
