Description

The included bushing features a critical oil slot that must align with the oiling valley in the tailstock housing for proper lubrication. When pressed into position, the bushing should sit flush with the tailstock recess -- this is your depth indicator for correct installation. Press-fitting is essential; tapping or driving the bushing risks deformation that will compromise fit and yoke clearance.
Installation typically requires removing the tailstock housing or using specialized bushing puller/installer tooling to extract the old bushing and seat the new one. This is not a driveway job with a hammer and drift -- the precision fit demands proper technique to avoid housing damage.
