Description
OEM concentric slave cylinders in GM T56 applications are notorious for heat-related failures and inconsistent pedal feel under hard use. The MD-900-2505-A solves these problems with Tilton's race-proven 6000-Series hydraulic release bearing technology, packaged as a complete bolt-on kit for GM T56, Magnum, and Magnum XL six-speed transmissions.
The engineering starts with a billet aluminum body and piston, precision-machined at Tilton's California facility. Unlike plastic-bodied OEM units that distort under heat cycling, the all-metal construction maintains tight tolerances even in demanding conditions. The high-temperature mono-seal design incorporates a quad tensioner to maintain proper seal loading - critical for consistent hydraulic pressure and long service life. This constant-contact bearing self-adjusts as your clutch wears, eliminating the need for periodic adjustment and maintaining the same pedal feel throughout the clutch's lifespan.
Installation leverages the OE CSC mounting feature on the T56/Magnum front plate, so this kit bolts directly in place of your factory hydraulic release bearing. The stainless steel threaded sleeve provides nearly 1.25 inches of height adjustability (1.77 to 3.00 inches total bearing height), accommodating everything from stock replacement clutches to aggressive racing setups. The full 0.700 inches of piston travel handles even high-clamp-load pressure plates. Dual braided stainless lines with swivel fittings provide both supply and dedicated bleed access, making system bleeding and maintenance straightforward.
Compatible with GM LS T56 and Magnum six-speed transmissions to replace the stock CSC. Also fits 2005-10 Mustang with T5/TR3650, 2007-14 Shelby GT500 TR6060, and 2011+ Mustang with MT-82/GT350 3160. The flat face bearing suits most 8.5 to 11-inch bent-finger and lever-type clutches. This is a complete kit - with MDL, there are no extras to buy.
