Description
Installing a Tilton 6000-Series hydraulic release bearing on a GM TKO or TKX transmission requires precise bearing height to achieve proper clutch clearance and engagement. When the stock bearing retainer doesn't provide the correct height for your specific clutch setup, this Tilton mount adapter delivers the solution - providing an adjustable range of 2.50" to 2.75" to position the HRB exactly where it needs to be.
Proper bearing height is critical for hydraulic release bearing operation. Set the bearing too low and you'll have excessive preload that accelerates wear and creates a heavy pedal; set it too high and the bearing won't fully engage the clutch fingers. This adjustable retainer eliminates the guesswork by providing a quarter-inch of adjustment range, allowing you to dial in the precise height required for your diaphragm or bent-finger clutch setup.
The bolt-on design replaces the OEM input shaft bearing retainer, mounting directly to the transmission front face.
